In this tour, we we’d like to give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the secrets of the Jaizkibel mountain and in the history of our ancestors, the whalers who lived on this coast in the XVI century.

We’ll drive towards Jaizkibel mountain. We make a little stop in Hondarribia to start the day. Be ready to discover, the secrets and charms that are hidden in this mountain, the highest of the Cantabrian coast. We’ll drive to the top, where you can enjoy the impressive view of the valley and the endless ocean.

Near the top, we’ll park the car and go for a 2/3 hour long walk. During this time you will be able to observe and enjoy nature, wildlife, plants, diverse views of the ocean and the unique geological rock formations originated by the effects of time, wind and rain erosion.

Back at the car, we will take you to the charming coastal fishing village, Pasaia Donibane. There, we’ll walk through the narrow paved streets and through the small tunnels that link the colour full houses.
This place was the inspiration for the famous French writer Victor Hugo.

You can enjoy your lunch in one of the many specialised restaurants.

After lunch we take the small boat to the other side of the bay, where we will visit the factory museum Albaola. At present, a replica of the San Juan ship is being built here. With this ship, the whalers ventured in their travels to Newfoundland. During our 1 hour visit you get a sense of the history and the courage of these people.

After the museum visit, we go back with the boat to the other side of the bay and we’ll drive back to your hotel. We’ll be back around 5pm/6pm.
